Asia's first airline
Founded in 1941, PAL is Asia's first airline and the Philippines' largest carrier. It holds several records in commercial aviation, including being the first Asian airline to cross the Pacific Ocean, in 1946; the first South-east Asian airline to fly to Europe, in 1947; and the first Asian airline to fly to communist China, in 1979.
PAL currently flies to 23 international destinations in 14 countries and territories. It also serves 17 domestic points throughout the Philippines from its base in Manila.
